Photo, video and social media consent

Last updated: 29 September 2026

We film at sessions. players and parents will always be notified prior to the session if it is going to be filmed or not. we use this footage for a variety of reasons. these reasons can range from film study to social media usage and promoting the company brand.

This is optional and separate from booking. Say no to everything below and nothing changes. the session will continue as normal, without the capture of photos or videos of said player/s. The comfort and safety of our athletes is our number 1 priority.

Who fills this in

  • Under 15 — a parent or guardian. We ask the player too.
  • 15 to 17 — a parent or guardian, and the player answers for themselves. If those two disagree we treat it as a no.
  • 18 or over — the player, themselves.

How we handle it

These hold for every player, whatever anyone ticks.

  • On court only, with a coach present.
  • Nothing that locates your player.
  • Never sold, licensed, or used in any other matter than stated on this form.

We ask the player too

Not only their parent. If a player says no on the day, turns away from a camera, or asks us to delete something, we stop — whatever this form says, any time, no reason needed.

Withdrawing

Email t.h.a@thehoopersacademy.com.au with the player's name. No explanation needed and we will not ask for one.

Within seven days we stop using new material and take down everything we control: this website, and our own Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube accounts.

We re-confirm with you every 12 months. If we hear nothing back we stop using new material; anything already posted stays until you say otherwise.

Where your answers go

To The Hoopers Academy, and into a private record. Not a mailing list, not shared anywhere else.

We keep the form while any material it covers is still in use, plus 12 months, which is longer than the general rule in our Privacy Policy — while a photo of your player is on our website, the record showing you agreed to it has to exist.
